How to Use a Percussion Singing Bowl

Step 1

Place the O-ring on a flat and spacious surface. Position the singing bowl at the center of the O-ring.

Step 2

Hold the singing bowl mallet and gently strike the outer edge of the bowl. This will produce an initial resonance as the bowl vibrates.

Step 3

After striking, continue playing by moving the mallet in a circular motion around the outer rim of the bowl in a clockwise direction. This will sustain and amplify the sound.

Step 4

The tone and resonance will change depending on the speed of the mallet’s movement. A faster rotation will produce a brighter and more intense sound, while a slower rotation will create a deeper and more prolonged tone.
