It was surprisingly easy to install and added to the home gym he seems to be building for himself, lol.
I was a bit surprised at how sturdy it was for something you can install yourself.

As someone who used to rely on cable machines at the gym, I was a little skeptical about finding an affordable alternative for my home gym. However, the SUNMEG LAT Pulldown and Lift Weight Pulley System has completely exceeded my expectations. It's the perfect, and very affordable, substitute for a full-sized cable machine, saving both space and a significant amount of money.
The installation was surprisingly straightforward. While I did have to purchase a separate I-beam attachment since the included anchor was too small for my basement's I-beam, the rest of the process was a breeze. It was just a matter of clipping the components together, threading the cable, and adjusting the length to my liking.
What I particularly love is that the loading pin is designed for Olympic 2-inch weights. This is a huge plus because it prevents the weights from wiggling around during my workout, providing a much more stable and secure feel. I've been consistently using it with 70 lbs for the past two weeks, and it has handled the weight flawlessly without any issues.
This pulley system is a complete game-changer for my home gym. It offers a smooth and effective workout for my triceps, biceps, back, and shoulders. If you're looking for a budget-friendly, space-saving alternative to a traditional cable machine, I highly recommend this product. It's a fantastic piece of equipment that delivers on its promises.

I wasn't expecting much from this cable exercise system, seeing as how it's very competitively priced – but I was pleasantly surprised. This turned out to be a simple yet very awesome addition to my basement gym. Now from the get go, keep in mind you will clearly need to have something to anchor this cable to on the ceiling. I ended up not using the little hanging strap, as I couldn't find anything to wrap it around, so I got the same I-beam clamp I have my boxing heavy bag hooked on to, and attached a carabiner to the clamp – worked perfect for my circumstances. The rest of the installation was a piece of cake, just crimp the cable and attach the pieces together and it was good to go.
The only downside for me personally was that I have olympic plates with 2 inch center holes, but it seems the plate loading pin is made for the "standard" plates with 1 inch centers. I wish there was an option to be able to get thicker loading pins, since the plates kind of wiggle quite a bit during movement otherwise. I will try and devise something to stick into the empty space to keep the plates from moving too much. It's still definitely usable as it is though. This is mostly a "me" problem, so I will not be taking a star off for this. I do hope that they make it more clear on the item page that the loading pin is built specifically for standard plates and not olympic ones though.
Aside from the plates wiggling around sometimes during movement due to above notes issue, the operation is otherwise very smooth and quiet. It handled 70 lbs of plates with ease.
Overall, this is a great space saving and cost saving solution vs enormous and expensive cable exercise machines. I can definitely recommend it, especially if you have standard plates.

This cable pulley system is solid and well made. It feels sturdy and can handle a good amount of weight without any issues.
The pulley action is smooth as long as you are using enough weight. I noticed that anything under about 15 pounds does not glide quite as well. It is not a major problem but I mention it because I am currently using it for shoulder rehab and need to work with lighter weights.
If you are using Olympic plates with two inch center holes they can feel a little loose on the thinner plate pin. They will stay on just fine but they do not sit as nicely as I would like, kind of flop to the side a bit. I think it would help if the center pin was thicker or if the bottom plate was a bit wider.
Setting up the cable crimp takes a little effort but once you have it secured it works well and stays in place.
The included rope attachment is a nice bonus. It feels like something you would find at a commercial gym which adds to the overall value.
All in all this is a good pulley system that performs well for a variety of exercises. My only hesitation is the price. At fifty two dollars it feels just a bit high for what you get but it is still a quality piece of equipment that will see lots of use and likely last a long time.
