This belt is not leather. I guess that is why two other reviews point out that it doesn’t need to be broken in. It is either synthetic leather but seems more like highly compressed eva foam. It was a great buy for $25 and arrived in one week. It offers very firm support for bracing when squatting but is uncomfortable for deadlift. Works well for bench and OHP. Will have to see how it holds up over time as I only have 2 workouts in it so far. Went with Size medium. I wear a 34 waist pants and measure 38 up high where I wear the belt for squats and still have 2 holes to make it looser.

I had the hawk 10mm suede belt and wanted a 13mm after borrowing expensive ones from friends in the gym. This blew my expectations out of the water! The way it was packaged made it so easy to break in. It's like I didn't have to break it in at all, and it felt just the same quality as the other popular brands my friends have like PRs and SBDs, etc. The lever quality is so satisfying with such a good clamping noise. For $40 from China especially, too, is crazy! I recommend for sure! 😀

Absolutely the best product I could've asked for. The quality of the belt and the buckle is top-notch. Happy to buy this quality belt at such a bargain.
